Tips

How to host your websites for free

In this tip, we'll guide you through hosting your own websites for free. We will use

cloudflare, an open source platform for deplying your sites for free.

Step 1:

Go to cloudflare.com

Step 2:

Click Login and then login with your google account or email.

Step 3:

After login, you will be redirected to the dashboard. If not, you can go to dash.cloudflare.com

Then, you will be in your dashboard.

Step 4:

Inside the Build column, look for "Compute". Click it, and then click "Workers and pages".

Step 5:

After that, click "Create Application"

Step 6:

Then, you can choose to use your github repositery or deploy with any other method. Or you can just click

"Upload static files", this will ask you to drag and drop or select your files to upload. It's recommended to

try drag and drop because it is safer. When you drag one file, for another, drag it and drop on your previous file.

Step 7:

After that, there will be a box below which will contain some random text. The text is the url by which your website

is accessible. You can change it to something you like like "mywebsite" or similar. You will also see a ".yourname.workers.dev"

in the right side of the box. This text is the domain of your website. For example, you signed in to cloudflare as johndoe250,

and you name your website "mywebsite", so your URL will be "mywebsite.johndoe250.workers.dev". The thing you have to remember is

the ".workers.dev" text. This is the domain of your site. Your cloudflare website will be hosted on this domain.

Step 8:

Then you can click the blue colored "Deploy" button. After that, you can access your website by typing its url. If you don't remember,

you can just go to cloudflare dashboard and then go to Compute > Workers and pages > Your website. There, if you want to delete your website,

you can click on three dots and click Delete. Then enter your website's name and confirm.

Additional Tip: If you don't want to remember that url, you can just put that url inside shorturl.at website and get a shorterned url for easy access.
